Foreign Minister meets the Slovakian Ambassador to Iraq

Foreign minister, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Jaafari met on 20 August, 2015 the Slovakian non-resident Ambassador Mr. Ľubomír Macko at the ministry Headquarter.

 During the meeting, the previous bilateral relations and means to enhance them were discussed.

 The minister asserted Iraq's keenness to establish the best relations with the whole world to benefit experiences in all fields.

 His Excellency asserted the need for the participation of the Slovakian companies to invest in Iraq and support the Iraqi economy, expressing his hope to obviate reasons that led to the closure of the Slovakian embassy in Baghdad and to re-open it soon.

 

 While, Mr. Ľubomír Macko affirmed his country's keenness to enhance the bilateral relations despite the decision of the Republic of Slovakia to close the embassy and to make him serve as non-resident ambassador to Iraq in Beirut, expressing his gratitude to the support of the foreign ministry for the success of his embassy in Baghdad, stressing that Slovakia would keep on providing assistance to Iraq and working within the International Coalition.
