FM receives the Iranian minister of Industry and Trade and the accompanying delegation.

Foreign minister Dr. Ibrahim Al-Jaafari received the Iranian minister of Industry and Trade  Mr. Mohammad Shariat Madari and the accompanying delegation, at his office in Baghdad.

During the meeting, they discussed the bilateral relations between Baghdad and Tehran, and stressing on the importance of deepening cooperation in different fields, also discussing the efforts between both countries to receive the Iranian visitors of ImamAl-Husssein (AS) forty.

Dr. Al-Jaafari referred to the depth of the bilateral relations between Iraq and Iran based on historical and geographical facts and the ties that unite the two friendly peoples, thanking and appreciating Iran's support for Iraq in international forums and its war against terrorist gangs.

 

He stressed that Iraq is keen to establish the best relations with all neighboring countries, especially Iran, and increase the volume of trade exchange between Baghdad and Tehran, adding that today's relations between the countries of the world based on the activation of common interests,

 

He pointed out that Iraq has faced a global war represented by the war against terrorists and urged, and achieved great victories thanks to the unity of its people, and help the friendly countries, and looks forward today to continue to support friendly countries and contribute to the reconstruction of infrastructure of Iraqi cities.

 

Dr. Al-Jaafari said that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is exerting utmost efforts to make the pilgrimage of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) a success and to facilitate the necessary procedures for the visitors coming to visit.

 

From his side, Mr. Mohammad Shariat Madari congratulated the Iraqis on the great victories in their war against Da'esh terroristic gangs, supporting the security and stability in Iraq and the region and maintaining the unity and sovereignty of Iraq, stressing that the visit comes to increase the volume of cooperation and activate the work of the joint committee between Tehran and Baghdad.

 

He said: "We have had important and fruitful meetings with Iraqi officials in the context of strengthening economic relations, and we are trying to make more efforts to increase the volume of investments and trade between the two countries, Mina that many Iranian companies today are working in Iraq in various fields, and there are plans to expand work in more Of service sectors.
