FM receives a copy of credential of the new non-resident Slovenian ambassador to Iraq.

Foreign minister Dr. Ibrahim Al-Jaafari received a copy of credential of the new non-resident Slovenian ambassador to Iraq Mr. Igor Jokik.

During the meeting, they discussed the bilateral relations between both countries, developing them to serve the interests of both friendly people, and the security and political developments in Iraq.

The Minister stated: "We thank you for your supportive attitude. Your country has played an important role in supporting us. We look forward after the military support to the support in construction." He stressed the on the importance of cooperation and coordination on various issues of common concern. Its preamble is the threat of terrorism, whose ramifications extend to the whole world.


His Excellency added that Iraq's experience in the facing terrorism has been a pioneer in facing sectarianism and creating a state of harmony among our people, stressing on that the interests between the two countries push for further development of relations and move all files of mutual interest to both countries, expressing his wishes of successes to the  ambassador in  performing his duties in Baghdad.


From his side, Igor Jokik said that his country continues to provide support in the war on Da'esh terroristic gangs, and the readiness to provide support in the post-fight staunch, expressing his country's emphasis on the unity and sovereignty of Iraq.
