Foreign minister Dr. Ibrahim Al-Jaafari met Qatari prime minister Shikh Abdulaah Nasir bin Khalifa Al-Thani in Al-Doha, to discuss the bilateral relations between both countries, and means to strengthening them to serve the interests of both brotherly people, and stressing on the necessity of dialogue in facing challenges of the Arabic region.

He also noted that the Iraqi forces are a force for all Arabs. Today, it is exerting all his efforts and supporting diplomatic efforts in Iraq. Resolve the crises facing the region.
Dr. Al-Jaafari stressed on that Iraq will not interfere in the affairs of other countries, but will not abandon efforts to achieve security and stability in the region and will not be a part of the problems and crises, and will continue to stick to be a part of the solution, adding that Iraq looks forward to establishing the best relations with countries Arab and neighboring countries, and the continued support of brotherly and friendly countries in rebuilding Iraqi cities.
The Foreign Minister invited Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al-Thani to visit Baghdad in the framework of opening more horizons for joint cooperation.
From his side, the Prime Minister of Qatar, congratulated the great victories achieved by the Iraqis in their war against terrorist gangs, adding that Qatar supports Iraq in its war against terrorism and contribute to the reconstruction of the infrastructure of Iraqi cities.
Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al-Thani stressed on that the stability of Iraq is the stability of the whole region and we must cooperate and coordinate in all areas, especially security and intelligence, to eliminate terrorism and prevent its spread. He expressed his keenness to strengthen economic, commercial and investment relations between Doha and Baghdad. Especially as there are plenty of opportunities to push bilateral relations forward.
