FM receives a letter from his Syrian counterpart.

foreign minister Dr. Ibrahim Al-Jaafari receive a letter from his Syrian counterpart Dr. Waleed Al-Mua'alim where he Condolences Iraqi citizens for the death of many Iraqis because of the earthquake.

The letter was conveyed  by the Ambassador of the Syrian Arab Republic to Baghdad, Mr. Sattam Al-Jadaan, at the Ministry's headquarters in Baghdad. He expressed his condolences to the Iraqi people on the death of a number of citizens as a result of the earthquake of 12 November 2017, stressing on the necessity of coordination to  meet the challenges facing the region, activate the agreements signed between the two countries and expedite the holding of the meeting of the joint Iraqi-Syrian committee.


"Iraq has emerged victorious from its war against terrorist gangs, which is the threat to the whole world," said Dr. Al- Jaafari. "All the peoples of the world have the right to be proud of the victories achieved by the Iraqis in their fight against terrorism.


His Excellency called on to continue coordination and cooperation to confront terrorism, fight it, prevent its spread and exert efforts to overcome the challenges in the Arab region.
