MOFA handed over a collection of restored archaeological pieces to the Iraqi Museum

The ministry of foreign affairs handed over a collection of Iraqi antiquities to the Iraqi Museum, which has been restored by the efforts of our diplomatic missions abroad.

 

The ceremony was attended by the head of the legal department at the ministry, Ambassador Hazem Al-Youssafi and the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture for Antiquities, Mr. Qais Hussein Rashid. The collection included 97 coins and 44 pieces of coins.

 

The ambassador stressed on that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the diplomatic missions of Iraq are working with great care to restore the artifacts stolen from Iraq, in coordination with the Ministry of Culture.
