Once again, Iraqi diplomacy emphasizes its effectiveness in international forums and the management of international meetings and conferences in various United Nations organizations. The Permanent Representative of Iraq to the United Nations in Geneva Ambassador Muayad Saleh was elected as Chairman of the Twelfth Conference of the Convention on Prohibitions or Restrictions on the Use of Conventional Weapons Impact (CCW).

This election was based on the adoption by the Eleventh Conference of the High Contracting Parties to Protocol V of the Convention, which concluded in Geneva, after which the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Iraq was Vice-President of the Conference in 2016 and 2017.

This brings the number of positions won by Iraq in various UN organizations to 17 positions, to confirm the active role that is playing in the international community simultaneously and achieve victory over terrorist gangs.
