Foreign Minister Dr. Ibrahim Al-Jaafari expressed his reservations about the Arab decision issued at the meeting of Arab foreign ministers yesterday in Cairo. He rejected an Iraqi proposal that includes collective diplomatic and economic measures to preserve the rights of the Palestinian people and the capital of the Holy Jerusalem.
HE expressed his regret over the rejection of the Iraqi proposal and the weakness of the Arab decision because it was below the required level and did not rise to the size of the threat facing Holy Al-Quds . He called on the Arab countries to take more political and economic measures that would protect Jerusalem.
The attitude of the delegation of the Iraqi Foreign Ministry is in line with the aspirations of the people and the Government of the Republic of Iraq and the hopes of the Arab peoples to support the Palestinian cause and to meet the challenges it faces.
