Foreign Minister Dr. Ibrahim Al-Jaafari met His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan in Amman. During meeting they discussed the bilateral relations between the two countries and regional and international developments of common concern.
Dr. Al-Jaafari presented Iraq's thanks and appreciation for the kingdom's honorable and supportive attitude in various fields, particularly in the field of the war against terrorism. He appreciated the support of Jordan in allocating 13 electoral centers to facilitate the electoral process for Iraqis living in Jordan.
He pointed out that Iraq today is working on the reconstruction of cities affected by the war against terrorist gangs, calling on Jordan to continue its positions supporting Iraq and contribute to the reconstruction of infrastructure of Iraqi cities.
From his side, His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein stressed on Jordan's continued support for Iraq until security and stability are achieved. He also welcomed the security cooperation between the two countries and called for expanding cooperation to all areas.
The King pointed to the need to continue coordination and cooperation, and intensify dialogues to meet the challenges facing the region.
