Foreign Minister Dr. Ibrahim Al-Jaafari received a copy of the credentials of the non-resident Ambassador of the Republic of Fiji to Baghdad, Mr. Moses Tekutogia.
Dr. Al-Jaafari said that Baghdad is interested in exchanging visits between officials of the two countries in the framework of strengthening relations and opening channels of bilateral cooperation, appreciating Fiji's position in support of Iraq at the United Nations.
He expressed the readiness of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to provide all that would make the success of the diplomatic mission in Baghdad and contribute to the strengthening of bilateral relations between the two countries.
From his side, Mr. Moses Tekutogia stressed on his government's interest in enhancing the bilateral relations between the two countries and standing by Iraq. The world recognizes the importance of Iraq in the region and the international community.
